ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Hardship Scholarship

The ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Hardship Scholarship aims to help students who have experienced extreme and unexpected financial hardship during their studies at ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ. The funds are applied to remaining tuition fees and are intended to ensure that students can complete their study programme. The scholarship may cover a part of or all remaining tuition fees for the programme.

General eligibility requirements for hardship scholarships

The hardship scholarship is intended for students who only have one semester remaining of their studies. Students with more than one semester remaining can, in exceptional cases, be awarded the scholarship in order to allow them time to organise their funding for the remaining semester/semesters. Receiving a scholarship in these cases should not be seen as an indication of being granted future hardship scholarships. If you foresee an inability to fund future semesters, you are advised to seek out other options, such as taking a study leave or applying for external funding.

The following eligibility requirements apply:

  • You are a current student at ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ.
  • You have studied at normal study pace and fulfilled at least 50% of a Master's programme or at least 30% of a Bachelor's programme.
  • You are required to pay direct tuition fees to ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ for your studies.
  • You are in severe financial hardship due to immediate and unexpected events.
  • You are not a holder of a Swedish Institute Scholarship.
  • Students who have failed to make adequate financial plans for their studies cannot be supported by the fund.
