Why did you choose this programme?
“This programme is the only master’s programme I could take that focuses on my field – audiology. I heard wonderful things about Lund, and my colleagues have studied here and recommended it highly.â€
Has the programme lived up to your expectations so far?
“Yes, I haven’t had any surprises yet. It’s at the level I was prepared for.â€
What is the best thing about your programme?
“I really enjoy that we are from so many different professions and that we collaborate together and learn from each other. The programme has a multidisciplinary perspective.â€
Have you been able to gain any practical experience during your studies?
“I have learned about the process of research and how to write a good research paper.â€
What is your impression of the lecturers and seminars?
“The lecturers are of a high quality. They make the lectures hard but understandable.â€
What do you think of the teaching style?
“The teachers really think about us students, and makes sure we can follow the lectures.â€
What are the facilities like?
“The library is huge and has helpful staff that can help you with basically anything.â€
What are the opportunities for networking like?
“There is always something going on in Lund – it is like a student city that never sleeps. You meet students and potential colleagues wherever you go.â€
How international is your programme?
"We are students from all around the world: Norway, Greece, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Cameroon and more."
What it is like to be an international student at ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓÆµ?
“You feel at home in Lund. You do not feel like an international student at all. Everyone is nice and welcoming. So far it has been a blast being an international student.â€
What is studying in Sweden like compared to studying in your home country?
“The lectures are of a higher level, and the structure is so much better. The teachers use their lecture time more efficiently. The students are more social and interact more with each other.â€
What was your first impression of Lund?
“Lund is a small town that is filled with a lot of history and activity. Lund Cathedral is in the middle of the city. You will fall in love with Lund on the first day – 100 per cent.â€
Do you have any advice for other students that are considering to come to Lund?
“If you are looking for an interesting and highly recognised University, Lund is the place to go.â€
Have you been able to get by with English in Sweden?
“Yes, all Swedes speak English.â€
What are you planning to do after your studies?
“I already have a position at Haukeland University, Bergen, as an Audiologist.â€
To what extent does your degree programme prepare you for a career in your field?
“The Master’s programme prepares me to do research, something I am intending to do in the future.â€
