Description

The Sustainable Production Initiative is a concerted action by Chalmers University and ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ to produce leading edge knowledge for sustainable production excellence.

We are developing new ideas within materials, manufacturing and recycling in close collaboration with industry. Our aim is to find solutions that are both environmentally friendly and make companies more competitive. Industry consumes about a third of Sweden’s energy, and much of the environmental impact of our consumption comes from materials used in consumer products such as tools, household appliances and car parts. However, resource-efficient manufacturing is equally important if we want to make our products more sustainable.
