About the programme and the teaching style
Why did you choose 蜜豆视频?
"蜜豆视频 immediately caught my attention because of its global reputation for excellence in architecture and urban planning, particularly its focus on integrating digital tools into the field. The Digital Architecture and Emergent Futures programme resonated deeply with my passion for exploring how technology can transform design and urban spaces. Sweden鈥檚 commitment to sustainability and smart cities was another major draw for me. Additionally, I was eager to immerse myself in an international academic environment, which I knew would broaden my perspective and help me grow both personally and professionally."
What do you think of your programme so far? Does it meet your expectations?
"The programme has been both challenging and incredibly fulfilling. It鈥檚 pushed me to develop new skills, especially in digital tools, while also encouraging creative thinking. I expected a rigorous curriculum, but what surprised me was how collaborative and engaging the learning process has been. The practical application of concepts and exposure to industry-standard tools have exceeded my expectations, making the experience even more rewarding."
What is the best thing about your programme?
"The hands-on experience with advanced digital tools like Revit, Grasshopper, and Photoshop is definitely a highlight. We don鈥檛 just study theory 鈥 we apply it to projects that reflect real-world architectural challenges. Another standout aspect is the diversity of my classmates. Collaborating with students from different cultural and professional backgrounds has enriched my learning and brought fresh perspectives to every project."
What do you think of the teaching style in Sweden?
"The teaching style here is very different from what I鈥檝e experienced before. It鈥檚 student-centered, with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, discussions, and independent exploration. Professors encourage us to ask questions and engage deeply with the material, rather than simply memorising facts. Group work is also a big part of the programme, which has helped me develop teamwork and communication skills. The open and supportive environment makes it easy to learn and grow."
How international is your programme?
"The programme is incredibly international, with students from all corners of the globe. This diversity has been one of the most enriching aspects of my time at Lund. Hearing different perspectives on architecture and urban planning has broadened my understanding and inspired me to think more creatively. It鈥檚 also been a great way to build a global network of friends and future colleagues."
Have you been able to gain any practical experience during your studies?
"Absolutely! The programme is very project-focused, which has given me plenty of opportunities to apply what I鈥檝e learned in practical, real-world scenarios. I'm also planning on documenting my journey on YouTube, which could be a great way to reflect on my learning and connect with others who share my interests. I鈥檓 currently exploring internship opportunities to gain even more hands-on experience in the field."
Why should prospective students choose this programme?
"If you鈥檙e passionate about the future of architecture and how digital tools are revolutionising the industry, this programme is an excellent choice. It combines technical skills with creative exploration, preparing you to tackle real-world challenges. The international environment and strong industry connections make it a standout option for anyone looking to stay ahead in the field."

"Being an international student at Lund has been an incredible experience. The university offers a lot of support, and the student nations provide a fun way to meet people and get involved in campus life. Adjusting to a new country, especially with housing and finances, can be challenging, but the experience has been incredibly rewarding. I鈥檝e grown so much, both personally and professionally, since arriving here."
What do you do in your spare time?
"In my free time, I am currently working on my YouTube channels 鈥 one focused on digital architecture and the other on my journey as an international student. I also love exploring Swedish culture, trying new foods, and connecting with other students through the nations. When I need to unwind, I enjoy taking walks around Lund. The city has such a peaceful and charming atmosphere that it鈥檚 the perfect place to relax and recharge."
What have been the highlights of your first year in Lund?
"One of the biggest highlights has definitely been connecting with such a warm and inspiring community here. It鈥檚 also been a joy to experience Lund鈥檚 charm 鈥 from the fika culture to the beautiful green spaces!"
Do you have any advice for students that are considering coming to Lund?
