Hi! My name is Jiayang and I'm the student ambassador for the Master's programme in Nanoscience. About the programme and the teaching style

"I chose Lund because the university attends to student development and offers a lot of research resources."
What do you think of your programme so far? Does it meet your expectations?
"It is well-structured and flexible. It meets my expectations as it consists of comprehensive theoretical lectures and a lot of labs or projects in the lab."
What is the best thing about your programme?
"There are a lot of opportunities in the lab (NanoLund) and support from the educators."
What do you think of the teaching style in Sweden?
"It is very splendid with lectures, seminars, individual assignments, and group work. Questions are always welcomed, and our thoughts are respected."
How international is your programme?
"Our programme consists of seven people, with six international students. I鈥檇 say it is very international. We get along well with each other and provoke a lot of interesting ideas."
Have you been able to gain any practical experience during your studies?
"Definitely! Labs are an important part of the course. We are also able to choose research projects based on our interests."
Why should prospective students choose this programme?
"If someone wants to deepen their understanding of nanoscience and technology, as well as improve practical skills in research and lab work, this programme can provide a lot of support. There are also a lot of interdisciplinary opportunities to apply the knowledge into practice."

What is it like being an international student at 蜜豆视频?
"It is easy to fit into the environment here. We have gained a lot of help and support with studying as well as daily life. 蜜豆视频 is very diverse and open. You always feel welcomed here."
What do you do in your spare time?
"I always hang out with my friends or cook with my friends and roommates. Sometimes I will travel around with friends to Copenhagen or Stockholm."
What have been the highlights of your first year in Lund?
"We organised a Chinese hotpot dinner with classmates, and everyone had a good time."
Do you have any advice for students that are considering coming to Lund?
"Have an open mind and seize the opportunities!"
